Trey Schucker Narrows His Options

All I’ve been doing lately is trying to figure out which college I want to attend. I still want to play collegiate football, and the two schools that have extended that opportunity are Henderson State University in Arkadelphia and Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Mo.

I have been accepted at both schools, so now I am applying for academic scholarships at each institution. This will help the football coaches because if I can get some money from the school for academics, they won’t have to give me as much money for a football scholarship.

I have official visits to both schools during the next couple weekends and will make my decision on where to go after both visits. I will just have to see what the campuses are like and which one feels better for me. It is a little stressful because this decision will affect me for the next few years, and I just want the best for myself.

On the football side of things, both schools seem equally interested in me. Both coaches have calle and visited with me, so I’ll see how it goes once I get on campus. I didn't know much about either school before this year and still feel like I don’t know much, so I’m really excited for my visits to ask questions and to see things for myself.

Other schools have seemed interested but haven’t offered me the opportunity to play, so Henderson and Southwest Baptist are my choices right now. A lot of people ask me where I’m going, and I don’t have an answer. I am really ready to be set on going somewhere so I can get ready and focus on that school. Until then, there is still a lot of work to do.
