Tearani Buffington: Applying to Arkansas Colleges

By Tearani Buffington on Monday, November 1, 2010

I just applied to the University of Arkansas, and I’m so excited! It should take about 14 days to get my results back, and hopefully I'll get in.

Did you know that UA has automatic admission? That means if you meet the standard GPA and test scores, you are automatically admitted. Isn’t that so cool? This is what you need to be automatically admitted:

  • High School GPA of 3.00 or higher on a 4.00 scale
  • 20 or higher on the ACT (930 SAT, combined critical reading/verbal and math scores only)
  • Must have completed or be in the process of completing the 16-unit preparatory core courses

And if you don’t meet the requirements listed above, you should still apply! There is no cutoff score for this university.

I am also working on the common application for Hendrix College in between writing this.

So wish me good luck. I am going to need it!

(By the way, Central beat Catholic High School. We are improving!)
