The world of computer science, data science and cybersecurity continues to grow in importance every day — and there are plenty of schools that offer degrees in those subjects.

The University of Arkansas (U of A) has rolled out a variety of new degrees and online degree offerings. The university is rolling out its first-of-its-kind data science undergraduate degree program in the fall of 2020. The program was inspired by the growing need for businesses of all sizes to make sense of complex data sets. U of A also introduced a new Master of Science in Operations Analytics degree for fall 2020. The program is geared toward students interested in leveraging data to make organizations run more efficiently.

Lyon College is also debuting a new data science undergraduate degree program this fall, which is the first at a private college in Arkansas.

In addition, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UA Little Rock) plans to offer a new four-year degree program in cybersecurity beginning the fall 2021 semester to help meet the rising demand for cybersecurity professionals.
