Online: obu.edu It’s different at Ouachita. When a student chooses Ouachita Baptist University as their college home, they are choosing to invest in an outstanding academic training and career preparation, but also joining a community like no other. Our relationships run as deep as our 134-year history, with meaningful traditions and a strong spiritual foundation supporting it all. Ouachita, with over 1,500 undergraduate students, is a nationally ranked Christian, liberal arts university located on the banks of the Ouachita river, minutes away from DeGray Lake and is nestled in the foothills of the Ouachita National Forest in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Ouachita is ranked among the nation’s top colleges by U.S. News & World Report and Forbes and has the highest student satisfaction rate in Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana according to College Consensus. As a residential campus with 95% of our students living on campus, Ouachita encourages students to do life together in intramural sports, more than 50 campus clubs and organizations and our annual song and dance competition Tiger Tunes. An education at Ouachita prepares students to launch into a meaningful career or succeed in grad school. They will have the opportunity to experience high-impact learning through hands-on labs, field work and internships. This personal and hands-on approach to learning contributes to our 97% overall placement rate in graduate school or in the workforce.
